May Long Weekend Start to 2014 Season

Sunset Cruises is excited to start cruising this May Long Weekend.  We have a Bracebridge family that has chartered Idyllwood to show their visitors from out of the area our wonderful rugged Muskoka landscape from the spectacular waters of Lake Muskoka. We will pick up the family and visitors at a special location on the lake - there is a specific route chosen to travel and show the visitors.  One of the most memorable channels on Lake Muskoka is Millionaires' Row.  The cottages are immense, rambling structures, several storeys high, spread out along the rocky shore.  Assortment of outbuildings icehouses, laundry rooms, grand boathouses, & lovely old gazebos.  Sunset Cruises enjoys to share the history of the area  in and around Beaumaris and so much more.  Also, there is the "Hub of the Lakes" at Port Carling - the locks were constructed to overcome the rapids that tumbled between Lake Rosseau & Lake Muskoka.  The Locks built in around 1871, the town was named after John Carling, minister of Public Works at the time.  Also, this year the Muskoka Lakes Museum located on the island between the two locks will be celebrating it's 50th Anniversary.

Peerless II will have it's first cruise the following May weekend with wedding guests from out of the area.  The family would like their wedding  guests to enjoy Muskoka from the waters and to see the rugged landscape and intriguing cottages and grand boat houses, from aboard the historic Peerless II.  Sunset Cruises will pick up the wedding guests from the family's private dock on Lake Muskoka.  Their custom cruise will be an evening cruise out on the waters and hopefully a lovely Muskoka sunset.

The end of May we have several special private tailored bookings.

Monday, June 23/2014 will be the start to our public cruises from Port Carling. In addition to our daily sightseeing cruises, Thursday, Fridays, and Saturday evening we offer Sunset dinner cruises to be enjoyed.
