Port Carling Activity October

The weather has be perfect for this Thanksgiving weekend.
There has been lots of activity going on in Port Carling this weekend.
Muskoka Lakes Museum held their Thanksgiving Open House on Saturday, October 12 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on James Bartleman Island.  There was complimentary pumpkin muffins and hot mulled cider, while enjoying the pioneer demonstrations, which included spinning, apple-pressing and butter-churning.
Sunset Cruises -  operating sightseeing cruises out on Lake Rosseau.
Traditional Thanksgiving Dinner at the Port Carling Memorial Communtiy Centre at 3 Bailey St. Port Carling for only $15.00 and wine & beer was available.
Annual Bala Cranberry Festival - October 18th to 20th - promises fun for the entire family.  New this year 2013: water-ski show, science north exhibit, native singers, dancers, drummers and fireworks.Traditional: cranberry vendors, arts, crafts, baking and judged exhibits, live music, entertainment, buskers, petting zoo, midway and tours of the cranberry marsh.  Shuttle buses will be running from Port Carling $7. for adults and kids age 12 and up info: balacranberryfestival.on.ca
