1) Bracebridge Falls
The power house at the Bracebridge Falls was originally built in 1894 and Bracebridge was the first municipality in Ontario to own and operate a hydroelectric generating station as a public utility.

3) Bracebridge Power Plant 2012
Bracebridge Generation/Lakeland Power has completed upgrades to the generations power plant at the Bracebridge Falls and has now gone from 600 kw to 2,600 kw. The facility has a new viewing platform, and includes a walleye spawning habitat that has been increased by 600%.
